All that delicate beauty. All those textures.
I just have to capture them. All were shot with my FujiFilm FinePix S700 during the month of March 2008.
Lets start with the ones I have shown some of before.
Here is the one from the day lily nursery:

The "resurrection lilies":

The "wild azaleas":

The lavender "daisies":

Here are the tiny yellow flowers that appear to be a three leaf clover plant:

The lovely yellow one with the reddish foliage:

This unusual buttercup yellow one appears to be a field clover (the kind you plant in pasture for livestock/horses) I have only seen it before in white or red:

A pretty purple "snap dragon" (smaller than any snapdragon I have ever seen):

And last but not least these unusual blooms are from a "sticker plant." Beautiful flowers but you NEVER want them in your yard...the only way to get rid of them is to cut around the plant with a knife and pull the entire plant roots and all up from the ground (the root is too strong to remove without cutting):

Enjoy the wildflowers I have found :)

what a perfect day!
However, I do have to say I very much like the picture of the sticker plant, and I agree, never something you want in your yard!

Yes, it takes so long to do a photo essay but it is well worth it and one of my favorite publications. I like the way photos and words make their own story.
