Again, because of "Hootchie Mama", I mean Vicky, I am posting the things I collect! Sane and Insane Things I Collect by Vicky ♥ Spring Fever™ ♥ D.
Unlike "Hootchie Mama", I tend to find all things I collect to be 'sane'! (LOL) Now, where the insanity comes in is when I return home, all excited with my new collectible(s) and I can not find a "home" in which to place my item(s). At this point, I become insane because I sometimes have to rearrange an entire area to place it! I have lost hours of sleep at night thinking where can I put 'whatever'. (Have actually gotten up and would place 'it' there just to see if that would be the place for it). My husband says I get on his nerves buying something and having no idea where I am going to place it when I get it home, so therefore, I am driving him insane too! So, this is really the only 'insane' thing with regard to my collectibles!  (HeeHee)
1.  1970's Music = I grew up in the 70's and to me this is music!! I love rock, hard rock and soul music       of this era. Listening to this music just soothes my soul!!
2.  Rose China = dinner plates, cup/saucers, - just reminds me of my grandmother's things!
3.  Blue & White Willow Ware = vases and plates - again, just reminds me of my grandmother's things!
4.  Books = old hardback Readers Digest Book, - these books are used more in my decorating because     of the vivid colors. Old children's books especially from the 1960's, - reminds my of my elementary        days in school!
5.  Birdcages = just love the styles and designs! (I have had to slow down on this one because I am        literally 'spaced' out)!
6.  Old Garden Statues/Farm Implements = just so appealing and I love the patina on these things. My      late father-in-law was actually the one who got me started in the old farm implements as yard            ornaments. Love to decorate my yard too. I am a firm believer the outside of your home says as         much about a person as the inside of your home does!!
7.  Old Ladies Handbags/Purses = I just love the styles and colors of these handbags from a different      era and again, it reminds me so much of my grandmother!
8.  Advertising signs and tin cans = Love these for their bold and vibrant colors. (Of course, the ones I      collect are reproductions,--- I could never afford the originals)!
9.  Perfume Bottles - love the colors of the glass and their unique shape and size! (So beautiful when      displayed where the sunlight can reflect on them too)!
10. Coffee Mugs = (This one really drives my husband insane) I do not know why I collect these, - I        just love the different shapes colors and they must have the 'right' feel in my hand. I do use most      of the mugs that I buy. I have dedicated an area of my kitchen cabinets for all my coffee mugs!
Collecting 'whatever' is a very intense hobby of mine, - the thrill of the hunt and then of course when I find "it", it is really a 'natural high'! I never think about where will I put it when I get it home, - somehow, I have always found a nice little area for everything!!!!!!!!!! OK all my gather friends, I like Vicky, am waiting to see your collectibles, so lists, lists, lists!!!!

Sorry~~~
You have lovely and classic taste of collecting pieces...This is a good habit and shows about a person's resposible behaviour...I do collect but the most loveliest things is to collect greeting cards, hand-written letters.
Coffee Mugs and garden statues, Yep thats me!
I also collect frogs and bird houses.
This was so much fun!
Purses and handbags-Let's just say I am a long time addict
1. Birdhouses. Had them displayed on our porch but have stopped collecting ... my family said it was getting overwhelming.
2. Vintage trinket boxes. I should post a photo!
3. Vintage sterling silver pins.
4. Sets of dishes. I have several lovely sets of dinner plates. I don't collect the matching dessert plates & bowls because I have some very pretty pressed glass I can use with anything.
5. Nutcrackers. I only bring these out at Christmas.
I love bird cages, too, but they're hard to collect because of their size. I have a really pretty one we used at our daughter's wedding. We decorated it with tulle and set it out as a receptacle for guests to drop off their wedding cards.
We're trying to downsize and only keep what we really like and what really makes us happy. I used to save everything that came my way, thinking I'd be able to use it someday. But now someday has arrived! If I don't use it, I give it away or sell it on eBay.
Now Vicky, - do not give any of us any ideas.........................LOL
my hunny has a large collection of old toys and old matchbox cars...
sooo we live in a 788 sq ft trailer, so we have just about enough room for a bed and couch... hehe... love ya girl...
Girly Comments & Graphics
Jax - I think it is so cool to coins...........that is something I had always thought would be fun to collect. I bet you probably collect NASCAR 'stuff' too!!! :o)
I have collected original Native American items, mugs, & Precious Moment statues.
Ellie are you for real???????
not big on dishes - we're still using some of the ex-wife's I think and stuff I got from grocery store
Pots from his mother and a few I've given him for Christmas
hummm...well, I like stuff but it has to be sentimental and have a meaning - if someone gives me something that they say is ME - of course, I keep it forever because I love the thought that someone thinks of me...I love kids old timey toys and am looking for a Howdy Dooty...maybe all I collect is dust...many hugs, Phyllis. Salud.

I collect Thomas Kincade art work, Dicken's Village Collection and old dishes, utensils, and anything that catches my eye and I can display it in my home or yard.
When I was a kid my grandmother had tons and tons of stamps she gave me and there are some from all over the world. I didn't for a long time but the past couple years I save all the stamps from stuff I get in the mail.
I am a pack rat so I save everything..
