Last night I went to take my medications and noticed some of my medication is missing. Of course it is the expensive pain medication. The one my insurance will only refill every thirty days. When I start to get low I count how many pills I have left. Than I count to how many days I can do a refill. I notice I am 5 pills short. Whomever is taking them may not realize but for those 5 days I won't have my meds. I will me immobilized. I won't be moving around, cooking dinner or doing laundry. As I will be in to much pain. Yes, I do have some pain patches I can use. But that only helps the pain on the outside of my leg. Not the pain from the inside or the pain that climbs up my leg as it gets worse. I use the pain patches when it gets cooler out, windy, rainy or just down right cold out. I can only use those patches 12 hours at a time. That means 12 hours on and 12 hours off.
I know I need to find another place to put my medications. Does anyone have any suggestions where I can hide them? I suspect it is another family member doing this. But haven't caught them yet.

Maybe use an empty coffee can in the cupboard? Or stick them in a baggie and put them under the kitchen sink. Or under your bed. Any odd place you can think of.
Good luck!
I would have a family meeting and explain to whom ever it will be their repsonablitie to get the dishes done and dinner made, and explain why and let them know if happen again PD could be called in
I know what it is like to be placed in this situation, I went through it when I stayed at my brother in-laws house. There were three young adults in the house (20-22 yr. ) and half my bottle went empty ! I went and bought those self-test kits and made each of them comply.
The results were undeniable and the offender was confronted.
Nobody should have to hide their needed medications !
Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price: $466.00
I would face off about this, this can not be tolerated.
Good luck!
mmm...a good place to hide medications. Well, if you have a box with a key. Take the boz and put it under the bed. Just put the medication anywhere that has a key and then find a good place to hide the key :)
"Replace the pain meds with ...laxative... You'll find out who it is REAL quick, lol."
I wonder too if the pharmacy did give you enough medication.
I don't know all of the specifics, but I would see my doc if you can.
Careful with any BOX because the whole thing may be taken. People do strange things...even guests can rifle thru med cabinets and take what they find. I always hated to HIDE things because many times the search for one thing would lead to the finding of MANY things! Horrible to be violated in one's own home............been there!!
