Im a few hundred short this month. I just posted and article about it. Hopefully next month will have a little less happening and I will be able to post and comment more.

Yes! For months with my old, slow computer, I could not get past about 2500 points per month. With my new(er), faster one, I knew I could get over 3000 in a month - and I did! I have 4354 points!!!

No Dan I have not as I have not had alot of time to gather this month,Charlie had surgery and I am just now getting to comment and post pictures.I hope the rest of you have your goals.

I saw this question before--oh yeah, it was last month and I saw the column when I signed up. Okay, really, I do know what all this point thing si about, after all that's why I joined the site, to make some money as a starving poet/artist. My problem is that my front page MY Gather page is defunct, every time I press on it to see how much points I have accumulated, it is frozen. So for the past ten days I have beenposting (are those points worthy?0 and followed the advice of the experienced and have commented. I have also replied cpirtesously to those who read my works (are those point worthy also) and if the two subjects that I posed this question are not point worthy, then I really have not reached 3000 points yet, maybe 15!

I have met my goal I got to talk to most of my friends,, those who care about me and I care about them.... I rather have the goal of friends then anything else....

I was hoping for a million but didn't get it. lol. Yes I did reach a goal and that was to find a community of cyber world people who are who they are down to earth in their postings articles and comments. I think my goal of finding this group of online persons are met here at Gather.com I have found some wonderful people here for good causes such as the Baby James Foundation with Renee.

I'm over 300 finally this month, it seems like I read a lot more than that. But I'm happy. One of these days I'll start writing and maybe then I'll need help getting points.

I have begun to write more consistently and that was my first goal. I am publishing a bit more regularly and that was my next goal. I am gathering more points so that was my third goal.

I have not received 100 points per day though and that is my next goal. But I am enjoying gather so much, I am learning so much and meeting so many great new people that my money goals are not as important to me.

For you see, my real goal on gather is to learn to write better, make contacts with like minded people in the writing and publishing businesses, to help other writers (when I can) and ultimately, to become published.

I feel good about all my progress and I see more progress in those around me, every day. namaste

I did get to a $50 Home Deport card, but overall it has been a bit slow. I ran into two Gather technical problems and lost a couple of days online. I try not to focus on the rewards and just enjoy the conversation and sharing of materals.

hmmm...."Gather Goals". Gather is a place where I can relax, browse, read, view, enjoy, take my time - not set goals to make point, money, gift cards, etc. I have nearly 3 thousand Gather Points...in 2 1/2 years. Not monthly like others. Am I doing this "wrong"? I think not. I left a job once because it was so numbers-oriented, competitive goals-achievement.

Thanks, but no. Setting and striving to reach Gather Goals would be like taking an armload of books to my favorite spot on the beach - and then speed-reading just so I could get home on time to catch a great sale at the store! No...you'll find me on Gather remembering how to enjoy my discretionary time.

To those of you with serious Gather Goals...I am sincere in my wishes of Good Luck. It is good to have goals, and the benefits they provide are a bonus.

Nope, but I knew going into the month that hitting 3,000 would be just a pipe dream. I have earned about 600 and some change points, which is pretty decent... I have enough for a $10 gift card if I want one! :)

I wanted to reach 3,000 this month, but don't think I'll make it. I've come down with a bug of some sort (and NyQuil isn't helping!) and need my rest so I'll be on Gather only when I have the energy. Just wanted to pop in before kids get home. Have to get back to trying for a nap. The coughing is just keeping me up which exhausts me more.
