The Perfect Game(s)...

This is my son, Colton's, 300 Bowling Ring.  He has bowled (3) 300 Perfect games by the time he was 16 years old and received this ring at age 15.  He is now 17.  I thought I'd show you his ring and how nice it is.  On one side, it says his name, Colton, and on the other it says 2005 and has bowling pins.  The stone is red, which you can not see that well here.  It has a bowler below his name with a bowling ball and pins.  On the top, it says PERFECT GAME with XXX on it.  It is a really nice ring.  He gets compliments on it alot.  This is not the regular ring that you get from the USBC, we bought his this ring when he accomplished his first 300 because it was not done during a sanctioned league play but it was still a 300 game.  He was 14 years old.  He is now being scouted by colleges for their bowling teams.  Wish us luck!!!!  We are trying to get scholarships and financial aid as much as possible - just like most kids are.

Wow, that is awesome!!!!!! I bet you're so proud! I was raised in a family of bowlers. I loved, loved, loved bowling on parent/child leagues with my dad. I never really got the hang of it though, and only had an average of like 125...126 something like that.

Please tell him congratulations! You must be so proud and I'll bet he is thrilled, too. Bowling has always been one of our favorite activities. I did mother/son bowling leagues with 2 of my sons and it was a wonderful experience. They went on to love bowling.

Congradulations. Well done. I remember when I was about 15 and attending Culver Military Academy. I bowled six straight strikes in a row and was on my way, hopefully, to a 300 game... when the bell rung for classes and I had to leave the game unfinished. Oh bother, bother!

Colton: Truly awesome dude. You should go after a scholarship or at least call the Pro Bowler's Tour. I've been bowling off and on since high school - a large number of games in that time period. My best game is etched forever in my memory: 228. You're truly gifted. And your mama is truly proud, go give her a hug!

cool ring,, I have one of those and I didnt have to do it,, my hubby got a threehundred a while back and he gave me the ring as a gift as the first yr I knew him I have it on a chain, and dont wear it unless we go out....

How cool is that! My late Grandpa Norman was a pretty decent league bowler and also helped build some alleys in this area. (He's probably up in heaven smiling and reading this one!). My high school "reverse whammy hook," on the other hand, was a bit underwhelming. Still, my cousin Linda and her husband Howard do a pretty good job in leagues. From what I've heard, the tricky part when you're an ace bowler, is getting sponsorships. Otherwise obviously the talent is there in spades! Keep on rockin' those pins, rock steady!! Thanks for posting this amazing accolade.

Wow, I did not know colleges recruited men for bowling teams. I knew they recruited women, as it is an NCAA sport for women and I thought about doing it in college, however I hated all the school options.

Way to go, Colton. Hope I'll see you on the Tour one day. Keep it going. I'm a bowler also, and I think I may have heard about your 300 games a year or so ago through the bowling grapevine. The discussion at the alley was the 300's and how young you were at the time and how impressed everyone was. If you are "The One" I heard about way back when, then I'm so looking forward to seeing you break all those records one day!!! Now I can put a face with the name. That's great! We have a friend who has been bowling his whole life, and he just got his first 300 game this week. He's 31 right now. I remember it being a big deal when my dad bowled an 800 series (I think??) when I was a kid. I know it's hard to do!

That is so awesome!! My stepfather is a bowler, has been bowling most of his life, so I know how difficult it is to achieve a 300 game. That's so cool, he must be really good!

My stepfather has a ring and a bunch of plaques, he's won a lot of cash through bowling (but I don't know how it equals out to how much he pays to enter the tournaments), and such. It's so cool once you play on a league, all the things you can get if you're really good.

Me? I've never been much of a bowler. I kind of suck, but I AM better than most of my friends, lol.
