Denvention 3, the 66th World Science Fiction Convention, announced last weekend the nominees for the 2008 Hugo Awards for excellence in the speculative fiction genre in 2007. The Hugo Awards honor both professional and fan work. The winners will be announced in August at the Hugo Awards Ceremony during Denvention 3 (aka Worldcon 66) in Denver.
Only supporting and attending members of Denvention 3 may vote on the Hugo Awards until July 7. They can either vote online or through the mail. Hardcopy versions of the ballot will be mailed to members or are available at the Denvention 3 Hugo Awards page.

Also nice to see nominations in the writing fields for Michael Swanwick and Lucius Shepard. I recently re-read a volume of Shepard's short work ("The Jaguar Hunter") and was impressed all over again.
