Our light
I remember when I first saw you,
The day you came home.
So small and new,
Upstairs I would continue to roam.
I couldn't help but love,
Sweetest little boy I seen.
Healthy I thanked him above,
You was a happy routine.
But then came the tears,
How could she hurt you?
Then even more followed fears,
Knowing there had to be something I could do.
I welcomed you in,
Protecting you all I could.
Another brick wall just not knowing when,
Still you was so good.
I would not give,
Couldn't for you.
How could we forgive,
Together we would get through.
I am your mommy forever,
With that I will fight.
She won't win never,
Adventually we have to see that light.

It is so easy to love them, isn't it? That in itself is an awesome gift!
Great poem and a tribute to your all encompassing love for your REAL son!!
