Dear Folks ~ As many of you know, I tried to find an old friend that I knew back in the 70's, Adele Breedan. Well, thanks to another Gather member, I found her and have invited her to join Gather. I sent her an invitation but she's having trouble getting on. I told her to be patient and wait to see if she receives her registration confirmation. It's been a couple of days so far. Have any of you had friend who've experienced this same problem? Adele is an upbeat woman interested in health and has much to offer the Gather community. I hope she doesn't give up. Occasionally, for countless possible reasons, email does not deliver in
a prompt manner. Sometimes email notifications that we send to our
members are delayed or lost. However, your new Gather account is on
hold for you for up to 7 days from signing up.
We are very sorry that you are experiencing this. Here are two options
for you:
- Provide me with a different email address, and I will try to
resend the confirmation email there
- Wait and see if the original confirmation email arrives in your
email inbox within the next few days
- Register a new account, with a different username and a
different email address. If you were to do this, we could change your
username for you back to your original choice, after you join.

I've never had any problems and I've had several friends join, they always got right on.
I've always had problems using the "Invite" form. That's one of the reasons I don't have more friends on here. The ones who do/have come? They have signed up totally independent of the Invite form. That form does NOT work, or at least it has never worked for me. If it had, I would have easily sent out invitations to 5 people.
It is incredible to me how, after all this time, nothing has really changed, and how what is getting done has been done by really by family members (for example she helps her family), but not FEMA, not the government.

There are many and varied problems on Gather these days. I would suggest that for 3 months absolutely no updates are done unless they rectify serious errors.
After all these "improvements", I don't think that my Gather experience is any better than 6 months ago. In fact, way back then, I didn't even know that I had a problem.
They used to say if it "aint broke, don't fix it."
I know of three people that can't log in.
At this moment, I find that doingan edit is totally frustrating.
This too, shall pass! 10!
