It seems like it has been senior center hot here in the office, and all I want to do is go outside and stare at the spot the garden should occupy. I marvel that my bus commute doesn't outlast the sunset, and our dogs seem to be set at a permanent run.

Having lived in Wisconsin, I can commiserate.
Now that I am farther south, the signs are that odd green smell in the morning when I get up to go to the gym, and the fact that the moon rides with me on the way out but not on the way back.
Our garden is soaked from recent rains, and we are ready to start churning it up again, although not to plant yet.
I can't wait 'til the first good rain... the next morning, the grass looks so green it almost hurts my eyes!
With most of the gray, dirty snow melted away, I find myself obsessively walking along my gardens, looking for signs of life. Actually, I'd worry if things started popping up THIS early, 'cos they'd end up freezing at some point between now and May. I just want to see COLOR again! Is that too much to ask?
Wow, Zelda - 2 weeks ago? I just saw my first robin last week.
