Just a reminder...

Have you seen the wonderful ideas about what better uses we could find for the $12 billion spent each month in the Bush/McCain war? Politicians, pundits, the usual crowd of public pleaders have projects galore just waiting for the $12 billion for April.  But...remember this... this is not real money we can bring home and spend on good works. 

At best, if we did not spend this money each month in Iraq, we might be able to reduce the amount of borrowing from our Chinese friends. Worst case...and likely case...we'd slowly begin to lower the interest we pay for what we already owe the Chinese for our previous profligacy in Mesopotamia.

We'll get no peace dividend from this war. Our grandchildren, however, will inherit the impressive debt load we created by following the madman in the White House. I didn't vote for him; I just have to pay for him. And 8 year-old Cameron and 4-year-old Sullivan and 4-year-old Gabriel and and 6 month-old Brody - my grandchildren - will pay for him...for the rest of their lives.

When you elect people who think government can do no good, their work in office repeatedly and convincingly proves it. Perhaps we should elect people to run our government who believe it might do some good.
