Daily Whine & Shine - March 27, 2008

Whether you agree with the concept or not, everyone needs to be able to vent from time to time. That's especially true if you're one of the many who suffer from an invisible illness. We have whines and rants about pains, medical professionals and prescriptions, just to name a few. Perhaps our families listen; perhaps they don't. Even if they do, they get tired of our complaining, even if they claim to understand our constant struggles. Or if they don't get tired of our "negative energy" we think they do or will.
Drop your cares and worries here. Share your rants. Shout, "Oh shutkie darn!"
Or...
Turn 'round and 'round, dance and yell, "Yippee skippy!" Why, you ask? Because there must ne somthing good happening, even amongst life's trials.
Food for thought:
Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around. ~ Leo Buscaglia

But otherwise I'm good.
Tiff asked to spend the night with us on Tuesday night. Her mom had to get up at 2 a.m. to go to work, so Tiff either had to spend the night somewhere or get up with her at that time and go to some relative. She asked to come here.....
So....
She finally saw her room and LOVED IT!. I never did get pictures of the finished product. Derek put up sparkly lights and painted some things on her wall. I'll try to sneak a few pictures soon.
Then Tiff's mom called and shocked us all. Since she figured that Tiff would probably call and ask to spend another night anyway...and since this weekend is one where she's scheduled to be with us...she suggested that Tiff just stay until after church on Sunday. YES! Actually, I had suggested to Tiff that she ask her mom if she could stay the rest of the week. It was nice that her mom thought of it first.
