New(?) Phishing technique targeting Gmail users

I just got an interesting Calendar/Meeting request in my gmail account.

This 'invitation' is from "RD. MATHEW ATTAH <mathewattah32@gmail.com>".
The content reads just like every other strain of the infamous Nigerian Scam.

Report it as phishing and get rid of it!

SpamCop.net is a place that you can report spam messages and it will process the message and figure out where it came from and the administrator to report it to.

Thanks for the reminder Michael. I have noted a slight increase in spam and other scam tactics being perpetrated through gmail/google services like calendaring and their documents service. Fortunately Google is still one of the best at shutting this stuff down pretty fast.

Spam is always irksome but I agree with Kevin, Google is pretty good about getting it stopped. Yahoo does a good job blocking, too, on my account.

Yahoo does a good job blocking spam? I wonder...
Between both my Yahoo account and my Gmail account, I've found I have had to teach my Yahoo account about spam a LOT more than I have with my Gmail account.
