barefoot and alone -

If I walked
through icy tundra
and winter storm
naked as my birth -

If I walked
through my pain
and did not cry out
with suffering -

If I walked
to where You
can be found
would the answers
then be mine?

This is one of those poems that just seemed to appear, as if it was a gift from the Universe.

This poem is particularly touching for me as my Dad is relearning how to walk after his spinal cord injury. It will be 6 months tomorrow and he has gone from zero movement in his lower body to walking with a walker (just during his PT sessions so far). I often wonder what the answer will be at the end of his journey. We all know now that he will walk again someday. I often wonder though what will be the lesson learned when we look back in 1 - 2 - or even 5 years from now. I often think the lesson will be different for everyone that has been affected by his horrible accident and amazing recovery.

To me you are describing the Physical until the end of the piece. At the end you have found the Source, which is within all there is. From the journey, to the end, which was the beginning - the Alpha/the Omega.
