That clever little slogan came from a web site that I use for what is called a 'disposable address'.
What is a 'disposable address'? On this particular site it is a unique alias that you can create when you aren't sure you want to give out your real email address. You can still get your email to your preferred address, but without them knowing what that address really is. It is sorta like having postal mail delivered to you at a PO Box instead of to your house. You still get the mail, but they can't knock on your door.
What is the name of this wonderful service I am telling you about? It is called spamgourmet.com.
How does it work?
How do I create an account?
How much does it cost?
What else can it do?
These are all wonderful questions. And they are answered very well, and sometimes rather humorously, in their FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions).
They post current stats on their page like this;
2,728 days, 172,245 user accounts
3,255,630 disposable addresses
30,358,217 msgs delivered, 9,880 today
291,066,945 msgs eaten, 179,160 today
You can get as involved as you want in regards to configuring how your almost limitless number of disposable addresses you create. They have a 'no-brainer mode' of use as well as an 'advanced mode'. But don't let the fact that it says 'advanced mode' scare you from delving into it. With a little reading it isn't very hard to figure out. In the basic/no-brainer mode you can simply create your disposable address and you're done. In the advanced mode, you can enter in trusted email addresses or domains as well as create and send an email from one of your disposable addresses.
One of the neat things about creating disposable email addresses like this is that you can track down very quickly WHO is giving away your email address. How? Very simple...
Let's say when I sign up for an offer on 'getmoneyeasy.com' (an address I just made up), and I am not sure that I trust them. I go to spamgourmet.com and create a new disposable address that will look something like this (geteasymoney.myid@spamgourmet.com). Now, any time I get email at in my email inbox I can easily tell EXACTLY who sent it and if they sold or gave my address to someone else. If I suddenly start getting email that was to geteasymoney.myid@spamgourmet.com from anyone else, I know how they got that address.
So, to the spammers of the world, I say BRING IT ON!

Oh and as for how much it costs... It is a FREE service. I have been using it for years and I am very happy with it.
