I hope you all had a wonderful Easter Sunday! Just wanted to post a note and let you know that because of today's hectic pace (it's been a busy day between church and our family gathering), I will be announcing the winners of this week's purple competition on Monday.
In the meantime, a huge thank you to everyone who contributed photos, poetry and articles to this week's purple theme at
Rainbow Connections - Colorful Competitions!
Once again, your creative efforts were simply outstanding.
At this time, I'd like to curtail purple postings so I can make my selections, and announce our new "color" of the week...
This week's theme will be to look "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" for Rainbows. Actual rainbows are very welcome, as is any rainbow imagery you may discover or create.
Rainbows are one of my favorite things. A rainbow can be a simple gathering of six colors - a rainbow can be a reminder of promises made and kept, of hope, of "sunshine and joy after rain".
At several key points in my life, a rainbow has appeared at just the time I most needed a reminder of God's gracious promises to me, His child.
What do rainbows mean to you?
To inspire you, I'd like to share one of my favorite poems...
God is in every tomorrow,
Therefore I live for today,
Certain of finding at sunrise,
Guidance and strength for the way;
Power for each moment of weakness,
Hope for each moment of pain,
Comfort for every sorrow,
Sunshine and joy after rain.
