I run to You in silent despair,
My brow darkened with regret,
My head hung low in misery.
I am humbled before You,
As I recount my endless sins.
I bend on one knee, asking pardon.
I expect the wrath of God,
The extinguishment of my life.
I brace for a guilty verdict.
What a Heavenly surprise,
And how shocked am I,
As You lift my chin and wipe my tears.
I hear You say, never fear Beloved.
You are the holy Son of God, as innocent Now
As you were created in eternity.
Nothing can blacken your bright star.
Nothing can change God's Love for you.
Be happy, Child, cry your tears no more.
You will never be forsaken,
No matter what you think you've done.
You are absolved in God's embrace.
I run to You like a prisoner set free.
I dance before you and behold the Light.
Where, I wonder, is my misery Now?
