Once upon a time, the night before Easter Day, a child named Megan asked her mother if they could dye eggs. "Oh honey, those eggs might be rotten. You don't want to smell rotten hard-boiled egg," said Erin P.
Megan P. didn't listen, and insisted on dying eggs one way or another. I then brought up a Russian tradition (when you poke holes into the top and bottom of an egg, make the insides come out, and then decorate them,) and Megan was then requesting that. Considering eggs come out of chicken rears, and may have salminila, I think this is going to be a time when a parent does anything to make their kids be quiet.
My mom whipped out the eggs and started poking holes in the top in bottom and then scrambled the insides like an Egyptian making a mummy (I'm not saying which part in particular,). After that, mom has the courage to put her mouth on the egg and blow out the insides. Blowing out egg entrails that may be rotten, may be covered in salminila, and came out of a chicken's rear end. She's still doing it now, 8:11 P.M. (Eastern time).

I also use raw eggs in my egg nog recipe ... the alcohol keeps it from being a health problem.
Vivid imagery.
Also, I will not confirm nor deny to my 13 or 9 yr old that santa claus or the easter bunny is real! I told them if they believe, they get presents, if they don't believe, no presents!! I am going to hold on to their childhood as long as I can forcefully do so!!
Thanks for posting to Gatherlicious!
