I just had to tell some people, and since I am taking a little break, I thought I would share something with you!!
I have never gotten a gift quite like this before! A friend made a beautiful quilt for me in three weeks after I (kiddingly) was saying I wanted one. I couldn't help it! The one I saw her make was awesome! Am I glad I said something!
I never had anyone give me something quite this nice, and hand made. She went to a lot of trouble and gave up a lot of time. I am truly grateful and always will be! I am still so blown away by this! It is very warm and a pretty addition to my house!
The day we celebrated was wonderful as well, complete with lunch, balloons and of course, the quilt, which I am posting a photo of below.
It is wonderful when friends remember your birthday because most do not. A gift like this just makes all the difference in the world!

Happy Birthday!!! belatedly!
A friend of mine made me 2 bowls out of material. I have no idea how she did it and then she sent it to me with matching table runners. I was so impressed. I could never create anything like that for her. I am not very crafty at all. I have no talent like that.
Isn't it wonderful when someone makes you something like that? I had one other gift i my lifetime that was like that - the mother of a friend of mine crocheted me a blanket for my wedding. I still have it. It was really beautiful. She was so talented. She may not be around any longer but I still have her blanket to remember her by.
The quilt is beautiful and I have a feeling it will become a family heirloom, with each person who receives it in future generations hearing the story and how happy it made you! May this just be the first of many wonderful tangible and non-tangible birthday gifts!
