My yard might get pretty soggy this time of year but I never have to worry about my home being flooded. There is a creek between my house & my little town that floods and makes us drive about 20 miles out of our way to get kids to school. The little creek is hardly noticable until it floods, then it looks like a little Mississippi. I took these pictures late in the day & the water had already gone down quite a bit.

Earlier there wasn't any vegetation showing. I have seen it up to the bottom of the yellow curve sign during some floods.
We drove the 20 miles around to get on our home side and took a picture from that side.

The next morning we went back to take pictures of how it looks when it isn't flooded.

I took the boys on to their track practice and took these on the way back.
Coming down the hill you can see the water is mostly gone.

The creeks is still high but it's back in it's banks until next time.

Pictures taken with a Nokia EX-S880.

We had some roads flooded her but it went down the next day. This is the earliest I can remember flooding here. I wonder what April will be like!
My fam is in central IL, and I don't think they even got a lot of rain where they are. but then again I am not completely sure....
