While enjoying the Sights of Spring this morning, we had our first visit of the year from one of Mother Nature's most spectacular creatures. This little jewel allowed me to enjoy a few moments of aerial, acrobatic stunts. It was exciting to be allowed a few minutes alone with this hummingbird. I hope to enjoy more sights of this amazing being during the Spring and Summer.

To see what other visitors I had this morning, check out The Sights of Spring.

Thanks.
John, thanks for coming by and taking a peek. The hummingbirds do like flowers too, but I don't have any of those blooming yet. Last year, there were a couple of hummingbirds here and they would fight over the feeder. To be so small, they are very territorial.
Marilyn, Kay M, Shannon, & Fran, thank you all very much for stopping by and leaving a comment.
Pat, that is funny. They are territorial.
Lisa & Holly, I was excited to see him this morning and it made the day nicer. I look forward to seeing your visitors when they arrive.
Wilma, thanks for coming by. I love to watch them too. They are fast and seem so energetic.
Thanks, Bob.
Randee, you will get some soon. I am so glad the weather is warming up.
Billie, I do too. Thanks for stopping by.
Kay, you better get them up. When I come to visit you, I want to be able to watch them there too. Thanks for commenting and leaving the 10.
Your mom and I really enjoyed the pictures. It reminded both of us of weekend mornings on our deck in Mt. Vernon. A lot of them we enjoyed with you. You take great pictures and get a 10+ from us.
Happy Spring, Happy Easter & we LOVE YOU!!!
Mom & Ken
Dad and Dee
I look forward to seeing more photos of these beautiful birds.
Doc, thanks for coming by.
Rachel, I'm glad you enjoyed them. I am fortunate to have caught this guy in action. They are rather fast and hard to get shots of sometimes.
Dee & Dad, you will have some soon. They are fun to watch, aren't they? Love you guys too.
Holly & Joy, thank you both.
Sue, get ready. Have fun watching them.
Deloris, if they usually follow their same flight pattern. If you have flowers and/or feeders to attract them, they will return.
Linda, that is awesome (coming to your fountain). I want to get a fountain too. Maybe I will look for one in a couple of weeks.
Thanks, Karen.
Nana, thank you. You should get them. You are in the migration route. Go to this website to find out more about the route and other interesting information:

Thanks for posting to All Photo Essays Here.
Jennifer, enjoy them when they come your way! Thanks for stopping in.
Dorrine, thank you very much.
Shannon, they are hard to get a picture of them. They are very quick! Thanks for coming by to leave a comment.
Katherine, I just have the hummingbird concentrate and mix it as directed with water. You can also make your own, but have to be very careful since if the portions of sugar and water is not accurate....it can hurt them.
Victoria, thank you for coming by!
Genenette, thank you too. They are beautiful (even if small) creatures. Yes, you may need to wait for it to warm up a bit.
Beryl, he has been hanging around non-stop now AND he chased another one off. I have tons of new pictures, but will save them for later :)
Michelle, go do it. You'll have visitors soon if you do.
Blessings ~
Rene
How lucky you are that one found it's way to you.
and this blissful shot is to a perfected match of Grace thus !!!
I'm wondering how long it took you to gather them all as we all know that these little hummers don't feed for very long!
Jennifer, thanks. I don't know how many hours it took, but it definitely took a "little" time.
I got a feeder for Christmas and don't know where to hang it. We do have two kitties and I know nothing about hummingbirds. I don't even know if there are any in the area.
Do I have to hang it out in the open? Will the squirrels mess with them?
Scott, you are welcome. Glad you found this and enjoyed it. Thanks for stopping by.
Quinn, thank you very much.
Thank you for posting this to "! ~Hummingbird Lovers~ !"
Sarah, thanks!
