After a difficult week, my husband began having breathing problems this past weekend. I called 911 on Sunday. The diagnosis includes pneumonia, congestive heart failure and a laundry list of other issues
Evan has been in intensive care all week. He is on a respirator and a feeding tube and is heavily sedated. According to the doctors, his kidney function has improved and his white blood cell count has gone down a little.  As they expected, the pneumonia got worse for the first few days despite massive doses of antibiotics. They are hoping to see some improvement in the next day or two "but it could all fall apart. . ."

You and your husband have been in our prayer circle for a while (just by initials and problem, so anonymity is assured). I'll e-mail out an update. We'll be praying for your husband's recover, that the doctors be given the wisdom and the nurses be given the strength and time to do what is needed. We'll be praying for you, Linda. We'll pray that God grants you peace, rest and supportive friends. I know you're probably not taking the best care of yourself, so we'll be praying that the hospital finds you a nice cot and you actually have an appetite. I pray that you have the grace to turn to others when you need assistance, whether it's physical or emotional.

You and yours are in my prayers. I will testify as to the power of Gatherers prayers...when my son was in an accident on 3/6, and on a ventilator for 9 days, with multiple injuries ,these folks got him through it with flying colors. he i home now, as I hope your husband is soon.
