I just have a desperate need to rant, and chat.  Today, I got a speeding ticket.  Why?  I was speeding, but I was in the slow lane while being passed.  I was doing 75 in a 65.  I was wrong.  I told the cop, I was on my way to the hospital to visit my son-in-law who just had surgery, and I went to the wrong hospital.  I knew I was wrong, but it was unintentional.  He told me, others were speeding,too, but he could only stop one, and I was it. 
I would've been happier if he just shut up and gave me the $183. ticket.

Well, that is CRAP! I passed a cop today doing 72 in a 65, and Thankfully, he didn't stop! It was very good that he didn't.

Another rant! My husband had to work late, but it was for a good cause. Of course, he had to go BACK into town after supper to play racketball w/ his boss. Thankfully my children are sleeping, and I'm on here.

Getting a speeding ticket sucks large at any time. I had one cop get snotty on me, so I asked him how much it'd cost me for running over freakin' cop. He wasn't amused and tacked another $50 onto the first one.

Got my completed tax return back the other day. Went in expecting the guy to tell me I was getting a nice chunck of cash back just to be told I owe. My rant? Why in the hell don't they make the tax system simple enough for an average person to figure it out? I got money back last year even after paying a deficiency on my wifes tax liability from the year before. So I figure, nothing has changed. In fact, my wife was off work for 4 months and I thought that would make a difference in my favor. The tax guy explained the money due with terms I think he got from some ancient papyrus that only tax guys can read. Now, I'm not all that stupid but when he started talking I knew right then I'd never understand what he was saying without an interpreter. I don't make that much and my returns aren't that complicated but ever since I got whacked for making a mistake filling it out myself I've chosen to pay a "pro" a few bucks to keep the IRS out of my life. I walked out of there telling myself; it just ain't fair along with some rather juicy expletives.

People who drive fast get into fewer accidents - they're aggressive, they're aware of their surroundings, and they're on a mission. It's those lollygags who're daydreaming as they putz along or those seriously distracted who get into accidents. The fact that 'speeders' are punished as dangerous via traffic fines and bloated insurance is a manifest irony IMHO.

Hi everyone...I had a pretty good day today so I can't really complain. I found a nice old (60's, I think) Morse sewing machine (including attachments and instruction book) with sewing table and knee pedal in someone's trash. I love when I get lucky like that! :D

Oh and Carol, I have fibromyalgia too. I was diagnosed almost 12 years ago (though I had symptoms long before then) but I don't do anything for it, just live with it. It SUCKS...sorry you're going through it too. :(

Oh, here's something I can rant about. I gave a friend's neighbor (who I've never met before today) a ride to and from her colonoscopy appointment today. She got put under for it so needed someone to drive her. Now normally I would do it to be nice without expecting pay but I was told I'd be paid and frankly I didn't have the gas money to do it WITHOUT being paid. So I bring her there, I go and get her, she throws up all down the side of my van on the way home and errrr...things were happening on the other end too...then tells me to give her my address so she can drop off a check when she feels better. Now this makes sense if she didn't want to go in the house, write the check, and come back out again...but she went inside to get a pen and paper so she could write my address down so why not just give me the check? AGAIN...I'm only ticked because I didn't have the money to be using my gas up like that, otherwise I wouldn't care. Gas prices SUCK. :(

Yikes! I was going to rant about the gfact that it's the first day of spring and they are predicting 6-10 inches ofsnow tonight followed by rain tomorrow. I haven't got it so bad. The snow will melt by Sunday. Carol, can I send you a couple of bucks to help out with the ticket?

I've got so many cop stories it's not funny. Cop pulled me over for running a stop sign and said if you would have attempted to stop I wouldn't have pulled you over. I said "what do you mean - if I would have attempted to stop" (What the heck does that mean anyways) He had no answer (what a moron) I would assume attempting to stop would be ACTUALLY STOPPING! (DUH) $105 ticket

My dad got pulled over one day, with my 8 year old niece in the backseat, for speeding. As the cop is walking up to the window and his window is rolled down she yells "Do you want me to flick a boogie on him Grandpa?"

I had to endure about 20 minutes of my son crying and screaming because he didn't want his hair cut. He looked like the Shaggy Dog and I couldn't stand it anymore. I'm deaf today!
