Will you go to church either of those (or did you already)??
What are your observations for those? Do you plan special meals, fast or? Are you in any choirs, groups or plays?
We went to church during the day, worked out the best. I am generally able to finesse my schedule around church and the activities, though it is getting more difficult.
We will also go to church out of town on Easter, a much smaller congregation than we are used to.
Blessed Easter to all!

I attended tonight for our Maundy Thursday service. I go to an ELCA Lutheran church. The hymns were sombre tonight. The readings decribed the Last Supper and the institution of the new covenant through the body and blood of Christ. The Gospel reading described how after Judas had left to go and betray Him, Christ gathered his disciples and with a basin and towel washed their feet. We actually had a foot washing ceremony then and some came forward to have our pastor washe their feet.
We celebrated Communion and then extinguished the candles at the altar. The congregation recited the 22nd Psalm as the altar was completely stripped and the church lights were dimmed and all but extinguished. Everyone filed out in silence and there was very little levity as people left to go home.

Blessed Easter Everyone!
I have gone to Good Friday services with Catholic friends and they are always moving, although I may not understand the traditions and the history behind the various aspects of the service.
There are bible information classes that can help you better understand what is going on so you can get much more out of the service and draw closer to Jesus.
