Wow! Can you believe that Sunday is Easter? I am really excited because both our daughters and thier families will be home for Easter. I do miss my family. Easter has always been a special holiday for our family. Today is my Mother's Birthday. She is one tough lady. I thought we could just chat at the kitchen table today. I have fresh apple pie and colas. Would you like ice cream on your hot apple pie?
Are you familiar with the Gather group 89.3 The Current Listener's Lounge?
Are you familiar with the Gather group Minnesota Readers?
Are you familiar with the Gather group Minnesota Life?
How about the group Public Radio Forum?
Have You read "To Kill A Mocking Bird?"
Do you remember where you were or what you thought when you read it?
The reason I ask these questions is because - I am so ashamed of myself. I think I even received invitations to these groups. I just saw the words Minnesota and assumed that they were just for people in Minnesota. That could not be farther from the truth. In fact, there is some exciting events occurring with these groups each day. The owner of the first three groups is MPR Moderator. The owner of the Public Radio Forum is the American Public Media. MPR's Midmorning hosts a classic book club. Today they will be discussing the classic To Kill a Mockingbird. The really cool thing that is happening on Friday March 21 @ 11 AM Eastern Time is that there will be a discussion with Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird. Another really cool thing is that you can listen to Midmorning on your computer. Julia Schrenkler has written an article with more details. This will be a gather discussion so you can post your thoughts and ideas on the book at her article. Check it out and don't forget to check out those groups listed above. I just now joined! I hope you will too.

Hey, today is the last day to submit your weekend cooking questions for Lynne Rossetto Kasper & Sally Swift, authors of The splendid Table's How to Eat Supper: Recipes, stories and Opinions from Public Radio's Award-Winning Food Show. Post your questions to Julia Schrenkler's article. Do It now before you forget.

Have you entered into the Money for Nothing Poetry Challenge to win a $50.00 AMEX Gift Card yet?? It is not too late. You can submit your article until March 24th. You know you could use 50 bucks. Check out the article and maybe you will be a winner. The Gather team will choose the winner. Good luck!

Have you wondered who Sheryl Crow chose as the 10 winners. It has been announced and the 10 winners are listed in the article from the Music Editor. The winners are: Gerry Wass, Dale C, Montie Pierce, Angela T, Lois M, Mark Rauterkus, Ken K, Susan R, Gerald White Jr and Justin F. Congratulations to all 10 of the winners. Thanks so much for the links. I read "To Kill a Mocking Bird" when I was in high school. When I first read it, my english was not very good and I did not understand a lot of it, I read it again after watching the movie (I loved the movie as well).. I was absolutely blown away by the book.. this is one of the books I will keep reading again and again throughout my life.
Thanks for stopping in and sharing your experience about the book.
