Free Rice

No, it's not free rice for you but for the hungry.

I'm probably the last person to find out about this site.  For some reason, I usually am the last person to find out about cool sites.

Here's the deal.  You go to this site:  Free Rice  You play the game - which is a vocabulary game (great for writers or anyone wanting to increase his/her vocabulary!).  For each answer you get right, 20 grains of rice are donated through the UN World Food Program to help end hunger.

So far today, I helped them donate 7,000 grains of rice.  Pretty cool.

 

Note:  I was surprised at what words I did know...and which ones I did not.

I did it last night I was up too about 4000 grains of rice when I had too stop but I will go back tonight i had a blast doing it.

Okay. The vocabulary game/test levels. I think they go up to 50, but no one has gone over 48. (I think that's what my son read.) Anyway...the highest leve I reached was 40. My son's was 42. How about you?

It's a great game for kids to play. They learn something and also learn about helping those less fortunate. My sister's grandkids loved it!
