One of the hottest trends in beauty is fuller, plumper lips. With celebrities like Angelina Jolie being a role model of sorts with her naturally very full lips, there are others who have resorted to injections for their lips (Courtney Love is one. Images of others below)
What's a girl to do to get those pouty lips?
Several options out there but there is always a cost, risk or effort involved.
If you want seriously plump lips *immediately* then you have to turn to a dermatologist for lip augmentation. LIP AUGMENTATION -- things to think about:
1) Cost-- this is pretty pricey stuff and it doesn't last forever. Collagen, synthetic injectables (restylane and other similar injectables aren't permanent) and silicone are expensive -- and can run about $1200.00. Gore-tex (that spongey material used in clothing) is permanent but do you really want to put that in your lips?
2) Ouch factor-- as in literally this hurts when you have numbing medication injected into your lips and the bruising from the actual injections of the filler can be painful.
3) Overdoing it can leave you looking very strange and even cause scar-- nothing is 100% fool-proof. If you overdo it, then there's another aspect of cost, pain and recovery. (double ouch) Here are some photos of what you can expect.

This is Meg Ryan, clearly she has some augmentation -- done some time ago and so currently her lips don't look like this, it's what *you* should expect to look like post enhancement!
Ok-- so you aren't Meg Ryan and maybe your lips are different.
If you see a doctor, you need to know exactly what it is going to happen. Here's a video from E Entertainment featuring an MD from Dr. 90210 who is giving lip injections to a woman who already has nice lips but wants to make them better.

This is a really mixed bag topic and there are lots of different products out there that claim to be lip plumpers -- some that work, some that don't, some that work for certain people.
Capazoo.com's Capazine article on lip plumpers features only three but they are indicative of what you can find and what you are going to spend.
According to Capazine's article:
Palatable Stimulators: These plumpers incorporate ginger, menthol or cinnamon which mildly irritate the lips and act as a stimulant.
DuWop Lip Venom is the original plumper. The ingredients create an increased blood flow and thus plump up the lips. However the problem is multiple applications. Also because of the ingredients, it can cause some people to have a reaction where it makes their lips burn. (ouch -- again!)
Collagen: Collagen or stimulants can actually increase natural collagen production.
Lip Fusion is one of the most well-known, most popular of the collagen-based products. Its' effectiveness is achieved via the process of dehydrating the collagen molecules. Most collagen based products feature hydrated molecules which can't penetrate the lrendering them useless.
Antioxidant Infusers: Many lip plumpers can leave lips dry and cracked. Antioxidant infusers contain vitamins C and E to help soothe your lips. Bare Escentuals' Buxom Lips keep your lips smooth and protected while the cool, tingling sensation produces a fuller look.

wish I could help out with the car, but I can't.
There are women out there that do think/worry/ spend lots of $$ about getting fuller lips.
It's a hot topic in lots of magazines-- but I just think it's a bit much to put stuff IN your lips if your lips are fine or ok. If you take a look at the video, you would see my point
so it's going to be interesting. stay tuned!
OK, ok, I will admit I am in favor of cosmetic procedures. In certain cases, hell, why not? But when you can simply buy an $18 lip plumper, what's the point? Save $1182 why don't ya?
even the beaute' gloss I have written about (not here) which has the maxilip peptide will only take your lips up 29% in a month and you have to use it daily-- and use it alot.. and it's semi-permanent.. and that means probably 2 tubes of gloss a month.. x $22 or 24 (don't remember). .
however I think I might have found an answer that seems to be less painful to the wallet and to the lips.
