Last week my son brought home a homework project for St. Patrick's Day. We had the week to finish it and retunr it back to school. The project... to build a Leprechaun trap! We could use anything we wanted and were suppose to do this as a family project! My husband was out of town, so it was up to my son and I.
At school, the kids have to explain and demonstarte how their trap works and if they are lucky, they might even catch a Leprechaun in their trap!
We were given a few hints before we started our project. Leprechauns are tricky little fellows - they like shiny things, things that glitter and sweets. They are also naughty at times and often disobey signs!
How our trap works. The Leprechaun will go around to gather up the chocolate chip cookie kisses. And when we goes to get the one on the rug at the top, he will fall through the hole that is hidden under the rug!
We started off with this pile of supplies:
And turned it into this Leprechaun trap:
