I've been spinning the new Flogging Molly cd today.

I always end up going back to Ralph Vaughan Williams. It's always wonderful.

Recent purchases:

The Brian Jonestown Massacre - some kind of compliation. I can't remember the name of it.

1990's - Cookies. Scottish trio, kinda glam, kinda punk, kinda fun.

Brother Ali - The Undisputed Truth. Yes, I actually puchased another Hip/Hip album!

Talking Heads - More Songs About Buildings and Food (used)
Talking Heads - Remain in Light (used)

and... uh... ABBA - Gold.... In fact, I listened to "Super Trouper" on the way into work this morning.

I can't stop listening to the Juno soundtrack.

We recently acquired the soundtrack to Hot Rod - Very 80's - My husband loves it. We also got One Repulic, another band my husband enjoys, and the Six Feet Under Soundtrack. I never used to like Nina Simone, but I am really digging on the song she has on that soundtrack. We both enjoy a variety of music, but my favorite genre is classic rock with Led Zeppelin at the top of my list.

I'm working on a mix-exchange on some forums and these are some of the bands i'm trying to pick out tracks from.

I just got Lizz Wright's "The Orchard" . The WSJ (Wall Street Journal) recently did a write up on her new album. I have to say that I have loved Lizz as an artist since the release of her first CD "Salt", and I have enjoyed watching her grow and mature as an artist. This album is a true gem.

Hey, Julia! It's still the season of Lent and I have not put one single Cajun CD into the machine yet. But man I'm lonely. Last Saturday my heart started to ache. I even found myself having a conversation with MD in my head.

Bruce Molsky has rescued me. Everything was like nails on a chalkboard and then Bruce picked up his fiddle to turn the slate into liquid ink and my senses were awash in his old-time cuddle.

And wouldn't you like to be an extra ear on Frick's shoulder? Man, he reaches back into an oil well.

The Dirtbombs "We Have you Surrounded" hasn't left rotation in a while. Especially "I Hear the Sirens." Soooo good.

I have been listening to the Current a lot. SXSW was great. The more I listen the more I like it. I also like being able to listen and look at the playlist for the day, and see what songs I missed while I was at work. Its interesting to be able to click the web link to Amazon.com, and get more info about the band and then maybe google them to see reviews, homepages, wikipedia, and maybe lyrics and chords.
