I haven't lived in Minnesota for some years. But I was flying in last weekend to speak at a booksellers convention (amazing people, booksellers) in Bloomington. As we were about to land, the pilot announced in a cheerful voice:
"Thank you for flying with us. We hope you enjoyed your flight. And the temperature in Minneapolis is all the way up to ten degrees!"
And I thought--that's the Minnesota I know and love.

My favorite MN weather memory is a cold snap in January - 10 straight days of 25 plus below zero. The suddenly the temperature soared to zero, and people were wearing tshirts and short sleeves outside. All in what you're sued to I guess.
