Depending on how much work you want to make for yourself and how much time you have ... you can buy an angel food cake, make one from a mix or bake one from scratch. I always bake one from a mix and put it in my mother-in-law's old square angel food cake pan. 

 

LEMON ANGEL-FOOD DESSERT

 

1 Baked angel food cake

1 Can lemon pie filling

Lite Cool Whip or whipped cream - again it's a personal choice!

Colored sprinkles or fruit slices 

Prepare angel food cake. Slice cake horizontally and spread middle with lemon filling. Put top of cake back on bottom and frost outside of cake with Cool Whip or whipped cream, being sure to swirl. Sprinkle top and sides with colored sprinkles or top with candy fruit slices. Cover carefully with Saran Wrap and refrigerate until ready to serve. There's never any left ...
