Got my $50 Borders GC, Spent my $50 Borders GC! I LOVE Gather!

The $50 Borders gift card that I ordered from Gather on Feb. 27th came in the mail a couple of days ago and I spent it at Borders.com immediately!!  When I wait, sometimes I don't get to keep them and spend them because I have to sell it to pay the bills which is nice its there but skunky in the extreme!

Not this time though, I spent it immediately cuz there was a book and a DVD that I MUST HAVE! 

And it was fun shopping Borders.com [through Amazon.com] online cuz I got to do it in the middle of the night in my jammies!!  I LOVE the internet!

The Darkling book by Galenorn is for Shannon.

The Anita Blake is a graphic novel.

I bought three paperbacks and got one FREE.

I got FREE supersaver shipping [a $9.93 value].

I used my $50 Borders gift card from Gather [thank you!]

Shannon gave me her three $5.00 amazon codes so I used those stacked [new word for me in this context!] along with my Borders gift card.

My total out of pocket expense was $5.08!  Isn't that great for $87.00 worth of books and a DVD?

Now if only my books and DVD would hurry up and get here.  Yes, I know I just ordered them last night but what's taking them so long to get here?  heehee

Congrats!

I gave up Laurell K. Hamilton a few years ago. It got to the point where I would skip half the book because the smut was ridiculous.

Her last Anita Blake actually had more story then erotica which was nice. I still like he books though, but man, they have changed from when she first started them.

Do Borders do that sort of thing over here in the UK? I'm studying Writing as well as DOING writing and Gift Vouchers would help a poor student!

I just got "Laurell K. Hamilton's Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter: The First Death" Thursday with my Borders GC I got from gather.com. It's pretty good. And she didn't jump everyone's bones in it either. I miss that about her. I liked it better when she did more detective/vampire hunting. I do enjoy the 'romance'... but since Obsidian Butterfly, it seems like that's all they are.
