Here it is, happening......so do what you can. Read up, talk to folks, send emails, or just STOP BUYING CHINESE IMPORTS until THEY GET OUT OF TIBET.
We can do something to improve this world, and its simple..... Just do as the Dalai Lama did Monday, saying: "I am mad as hell, and we aren't going to take it anymore Chinese Govt!" (paraphrased ;-)

New York Times Article today on Chinese Govt crack down on Tibetans. People are dying!
The Tibetan's March back into Tibet started on March 10th and here it is.....growing as anticipated. The Tibetans will not give this one up. Think of the Burma Buddhist Monk protest, times 100; & then it will become clear. India is now "in bed" with China, and arresting the Marchers.
I've gotten numerous "why should I care?" comments from prior articles. Its unfortunate so many Americans have grown up in such a superficial 'culture' that they have given into a Nihilistic existence.
"Why should we care?" Because Tibet holds the key to eliminating Nihilism
1) Buddha was a teacher, not a God....and his teachings help people cope with harsh reality w/o giving up.....allowing folks to focus on the good, while having to deal with crap. He was more Christian than most Christians..so it isn't Sacrilegious to read Buddha's teachings, or support the Dalai Lama ;-)
2) If we allow the Chinese Govt to destroy the Tibetan Buddhist race, then its like letting Hitler win.....and 'helping' by 'financing' it through cheap Chinese goods.
Simple solution? BOYCOTT purchase of ALL Chinese imports until CHINA GETS OUT OF TIBET
You can do that, eh? And, if you are just self-serving, think about this: it lowers the $20billion a month trade deficit w/China, and stops them from buying the United States. So maybe its not only nice, but good business, to BOYCOTT CHINA ;-)
My CHALLENGE remains: What little thing can each of us do to help the Tibetan's; and thereby 'deliver' this world from the spiritual malaise that threatens to destroy it?
