I asked for a copy ... (photo essay)

Of a book that I needed.... another copy of Anthem of a Reluctant Prophet, actually - I need to buy a case lot of those, I think.... Anyway ... it came in the mail....In this box. 

 There were 3 books of Robertson Davies collections - 1 of plays, 1 of articles and speeches about writing, and another about reading.

Since my MA research is re: reading - and Canadian authors, too - which of course, Davies is - I'm sure it will be useful.

Actually, a lot of the books I get from my sister will prove very useful - one of the benefits of focusing on Contemporary Canadian literature.

This one is by Barbara Colorosso - the parenting expert - on genocide. When I commented on that, hubby said "Well, sometimes the only thing that works...."

Not terribly P.C., my love ... but funny.

This one is called The Opposite of Love - by Julie Buxbaum ... it looks really good.

Definitely the coolest cover of the bunch, don't you think?

No idea what its about  - I haven't actually looked at it yet.

Hubby got books too - one re: investing, and the other re: the environment. When I told him that I'd thanked her for him, and for all my books, he said "Don't do that!!! You'll encourage her!"

He is of the opinion that I have enough books. He may have a point - these 2 pictures show only a very small portion of them. He made the shelves for me a couple of years ago - hoping that they would be enough. And they were. For about a week.

Don't you wish she was your sister? Too bad - you can't have her :)
