and copper is in most wiring and some gas line pipes....
when people remodel, I ask them to go through there waste...
they pay "TOP" dollar for all metals...sometimes .50/pound more for aluminum, than some recycling centers...
lucky number 7....
I think the drought will be ending very soon, I have noticed a lot of places are getting that winter time moisture...(also--1937 floods--I love history----everything goes in circles)
I totally regress....the rain water works much better on plants....no chemicals, and we have lots of those in our city water system...
being a newspaper carrier, 15 routes, they get all wrappings, excess ads you name it, cardboard boxes, product boxes....
magazines....
I get all of the aluminum cans from the stores in the neighborhood (10)
and of 300 newspaper customers, about 50 also save their cans for me too....
and I pick them up off of the streets,,,Keep Omaha Beautiful!!!
NO MEAT PRODUCTS- those go into the garbage because we would get racoons and possums if we did that.
at Halloween I stuff the worn out bags with wadded up newspaper, then stuff them into old clothes, that will go to the Salvation Army, and I build monsters in my yard to scare the trick or treaters...
using many food items like egg shells, coffee grounds, fruit and vegetable peels, to help turn lawn clippings into good old dirt again...
but I do have numerous rose bushes,,,and they require daily waterings...
and we like to grow a vegetable and spice garden too.
I also reuse grocery plastic bags as garbage bags, and I reuse our zip lock bags.
