Tonight was the Fiesta Dinner at Franklin. The Booster Club does it to try to raise money for the school. I went and volunteered a while, got food and left but of course I took pictures first. I only took my oldest son with me. My middle son decided not to go and stayed with Grandma.
The woman in charge of the Fiesta Dinner made sure it was decorated festively for the event.
You can't tell that well from my photo but the material was light pink, light purple and light green.
The tables were also decorated and the Glee Club provided musical entertainment (though I didn't get a shot of the Glee Club)

I had my oldest son eat before we went because I knew he wouldn't eat most of the food that was there so it would have been a waste of money we didn't have. I gave him the money for a dessert ticket and he sat at the table happy with a big ol' piece of cake.

The Principal greeted everyone:

Wishing there were more cake:

I volunteered by taking money for the raffle baskets. There were several baskets. Each grade did a basket and the booster club and the office also did one each of their own. All had different themes. I took pictures of all the raffle baskets that were available.
These backets were a craft basket, movie night basket and the grand prize basket from the Booster Club.
The following baskets are Spring Break Fun, Chocolate Basket and Gift Card Basket:

The blue basket is the game night basket (all the 3rd graders donated stuff, my oldest is in 3rd grade)

And this basket is the gardening basket. The first graders did this one (my middle son is in first grade)

The dinner cost $8 dollars and included your meal and a drink. If you wanted dessert, it was $1.50 more. The man who was doing the food only charged the Booster Club $4.00 per meal so they were able to make a $4.00 profit per plate sold. I don't know who did the dessert. There weren't that many people while I was there (when it first started) but I'm sure it picked up a little later (like it did last year).
The dinner was deep pitt beef, salad, rice, beans and a roll. I got two to go, one for me and one for my Mom who was being tortured watching my lively youngest son at home. I'm sure glad I got the $25 dollars from Revoltion Money Exchange, otherwise we wouldn't have had the money. And of course, if anyone wants to sign up before the 31st to get their own $25 dollars (you do have to provide your personal info), then I would be happy to email you a link if you wanted to email me your email address.

The drink was lemonade. My oldest son drank it but I found it....disgusting.

Dessert was cake. I got two pieces for my kids at home. They really enjoyed them.

Thank you for going to the Fiesta Dinner with me. :)
