There is a lot of momentum among Michigan Democrats for a June 3 re-vote, according to informed sources in the state. There are a couple of hurdles, including who would pay for the primary (100% Clinton donors or 50-50 split between Clinton and Obama donors; the preference of state Democrats). The state would pass a law that would appropriate the money to run this special primary election; not a mail-in, but a full bore in-person 100% open primary. The state, in turn, would be reimbursed by the Democratic Party or potentially other entities or even seeing if it's possible for donors to contribute to the state directly. Everyone seems to be on board in the state Democratic world of Michigan, including the governor, the Dingells, Carl Levin, the Kilpatricks and the U.A.W. For those that follow Michigan Democratic politics closely, you'll know getting all those folks in agreement isn't easy.
Also, there appears to be very little GOP resistance in the state legis. (or even the McCain campaign) from allowing this to happen. So, barring some major objection by the Obama folks (who are being briefed on this plan later today), the possibility of a Michigan re-vote on June 3 is very high. The only thing that could stop this primary logistically is if the state party is told, legally, they can't raise the large soft money contributions they would need to raise in order to come up with the $10-12 million.
All of this needs to be agreed to (including by the state legislature) in the next 10-14 days.
Ok, Florida, is the ball now in your court?

Anyways.....I think its wrong no matter who pays for it. If once is not enough then to heck with them.
That's all you need to know about MI and FL. The END justifies the means. It helps her, so forget about a pledge. What world leader will believe any agreement she signs?
She needs MI and FL to begin to make an argument . Although it won't change a thing as far as pledged delegates is concerned but it adds to her (bogus) big state argument. So forget about the rules, forget about the pledge.
Yes indeed! "If that isn't telling of the woman I don't know what is."
This is not going to work. This is stealing the elections, we will mobilize people for McCain if that happens. The end goal is to win the white house. It won't happen if Obama is taken down this way. I am willing to bet my life on it.
Clinton followed the rules. She didn't campaign in either state. What she didn't do is respect the people of both states by not taking her name off the ballot. She acknowledged that we are part of the process. Obama had the same option; however, he chose to remove his name. His reluctance to the revote only proves that he doesn't respect the voter from either state and that he is afraid he would lose.
From the beginning, Clinton has been asking to serve; the message has never changed. Howeve, once Obama began to pick up states he went from want to be a public servant to being ego driven. Her message is all about the people; his is all about him.
Changing the rules in the middle of the GAME = STEAL. No matter what you say, this is how it will be viewed by Obama supporters = John McCain president. The super delegates do not want that to happen.
Obama will win anyways. There is no way that big state argument will fly. More pledge delegates is just that no spin needed. However, letting MI and FL have do overs will set a dangerous precedent.
Parties are private. They don't answer to me or you. They can have their do overs. I will answer with my grassroot efforts and generosity in November.
You all have a nice day!
GEEZZZZ!!!
Apparently Hillary is in charge of Michigan. Wonder what kind of dirt they have on that Governor.
My Gov has obvious reasons: he is a republican't
Remember she said she can beat them at their game and only she can!
