Day Two at SXSW - Just Getting Started

So this is what it's going to feel like every morning for the rest of the trip...

Last night we lucked out!  Nobody we were with had ever been to SXSW before so we just started asking random people (like Racheal) what we should do and we were completely overwhelmed by the number of options.  At the peek of our indecisiveness a friend of a friend called and told us to get over to the Free YR Radio party right away - he had got the four of us on the guest list.  Needless to say, we were pumped!

We show up to the party and there is a line around the corner and our friend Basil (who will be on Gather by the end of this trip!) comes out and walks us past the line and into the party.  He then puts VIP badges around all of our necks.  This meant all access and free drinks all night!

We stayed until around 1 am before heading home.  So much fun!  When we woke up this morning we went right back into town for a late breakfast.  Guess who shows up?  Basil!  And once again, with more gifts!  He gave the three of us at breakfast more badges for a party at Stubs tomorrow night!  We really lucked out.  After breakfest we walked over to a party being thrown by Filter Magazine.  Someone told us that all you had to do was tell the guy at the door that you RSVP'd online and they would give you a wristband that was good for today and tonight.  It worked!  Pics and video will be up soon. 

Tonight we are heading to a showcase of artists from Decca Records and think I have a pretty good chance of getting a video camera in - so keep your fingers crossed!  Then tomorrow night its off to the party at Stubs.  I must say, for a group of guys with no badges or wristbands we're making out pretty good!
