I am almost done with 3:16, The Numbers of Hope, by Max Lucado, but I couldn't wait to tell you about it! It is so easy to read and wonderfully comforting! It also has devotionals in the back that are a page or two at the most, so that also is a quick read.
So often when doing bible study we bog ourselves down with these heavy, mundane books when it should not be a chore in the first place. I highly recommend Max Lucado books. There are also others out there, so please share. And, it does depend on the subject you are studying. It's just nice to have something uplifting for a change!
What Max Lucado books have you read, feel free to list them all in separate comments?
Or, are there other Christian authors or books you recommend? List them all below!
Have a blessed day, everyone and thanks for your many comments! I enjoy reading them!

What does SDA mean?
Barbara Johnson is uplifting but her books are funny. It was Edith Schaeffers book, Christianity is Jewish that helped me understand the connection between the old testament and the new testament - the seemingly angry God of the OT and the kind merciful God of the NT.
I will have to pick up a Max Lucado book, I have heard of him but never read anything of his.
I had read Hal Lindsay years ago and it was one of his books that made me realize that God loved me just as I was and that I had had his love and approval all my life. It was when I was able to end looking for the mother I never had in others and realize I needed to end being a people pleaser to feel good about myself.
