Someone's Been Arrested

I am sure most people have heard by now of the murder of the viscious murder of the student body President of UNC.  She was found murdered recently.  They found her lying in a culdesac shot to death. 

When I first heard about this I just couldn't understand the reasoning behind it. It just doesn't make scense to me how someone could murder someone in cold blood like that and ot think twice about it.

They had been showing pictures the last three or four days all over every local channel (and some national channels) of two suspects, or as the police called them, persons of interest.  Both of these men were shown trying to use the girls credit card.  What struck me is thaat when they showed the picture from the survalence tape of the two guys, they looked like they didn't have a care in the world. 

Well, yesterday afternoon they announced that they had one of the guys in custody and are going to be charging him with the murder of Eve Carson (the murdered women).  The other one got away and they are still looking for him. 

They did a raid on a house in downtown Durham (a couple of streets over from where my husbands 84 year old great aunt lives).  The house they raided happened to be one of the suspects Grandmothers house.  The sad thing is she runs a daycare out of that house.  They had to get the young childern evacuated from the house before they raided it.

Another thing that bothers me about this whole murder is that one of the guys is 17 years old.  What in the world makes a kid who hasn't even graduated college go out and murder someone?  I hope that both of the guys are given the harshest penalty that they can get.

The police are thinking this might have been gang related or a gang iniatiation.
