Some of you have already seen - and commented on my stacking & jamming habits, as Lynn a. calls them... but I do sort of have some clear areas on my desk.... once in a while.
See... there's desk there.... The elephant was my keepsake from Doris - and so's the rose... oh, and the watch that is hanging over the top of my monitor beside the glow in the dark dinosaur fetus.
That silver thing over to the left is my external hard drive. Ross hates it when I cry - so after my last hard drive crash, he bought it for me so that I never lose my ~stuff~ again - course, you actually have to run the back up program for it once in awhile... uh ... yeah...I need to do that.
it also serves as a handy dandy important stuff holder - all of my tax papers - oh yeah, and my kids' tax stuff that came here too - is all stashed back there. I'll get to it - one of these days (ours isn't due till the end of April so I'm not late yet. Chances are, I won't be either - but that's cuz Ross will get tired of me saying I will get to it and eventually he will go through it all and disappear it off to his accountant).

My Dell All-In-One is under there somewhere.... it has just enough space to spit out the paper when I print - well, now that I moved my bra from there so that Tamara wouldn't add that to her list of complaints about how embarassing she finds my bras - or lack thereof - didn't I do good, Tamara? I didn't post the picture that had it still sitting there. Aren't you proud of the mommy?
Here's another picture of the same view (taken yesterday, when I was still pretending I was working on my history assignments) ...I'm including it cuz it is the only one that includes my bulletin board, which is way cooler than it looks, actually ... it's got hummingbird stamps from Jax, some LeGarde Mysteries bookmarks, a couple of cartoons that mysteriously appear on my keyboard when ~someone~ wants to make sure I don't miss ones he finds particularly appropriate for me (mostly re: old people going to school)... a $20 rebate cheque that really should be in my purse, not up there but hasn't made it there yet - oh yeah, and they're all held up by WAY COOL hummingbird tacks ....I had to buy a LOT of tacks at the dollar store to get a bunch of hummingbird ones - and I actually only got the bulletin board so that I would have a place to stick my hummingbird tacks. I give all the other critter tacks away mostly ...I just needs the hummingbirds... although there are a couple of ladybugs in there for variety.

There isn't quite enough room on my desk for the books I'm actively working with right now, so I have a bookshelf to the right, and an extra little table to the left.... and there's just a bit of overflow onto the couch behind me, and somehow there is still a circle of piles around me on the floor - and a pair of shoes ...and um...a box of papers and some other stuff.... but I didn't take pictures of all that so that doesn't count, right?
Hey....I just noticed the Shakespeare book - that can go home to its owner on Friday when I see her for lunch. Woo hoo! I'm done Shakespeare :)
I talk too much sometimes! Now my bath is going to be cold cuz I'm going to have to wait until after Judge Judy to get into it. Oh well!
I'm in a good mood today ... kid emailed the VP and arranged a meeting with him - and got a job interview for an ideal placement possibility for her- oh yeah, and the ~teacher~ who totally messed her up and dissed her re: her portfolio offered to look at it again which is also a very positive sign.
And I heard from the last of the grad schools I applied to and got in there too ... not going there ... but nice to get in at one of the biggest/supposedly best universities in Ontario even if I don't want to go there :) And I am feeling like I might live too .... managed to teach both my classes today and drive home without hitting the rumble strips this time ...and STILL got energy left over. Don't know what was wrong but I am SO glad it seems to be clearing up on its own.

There is the ADD and the intense intellect, concerned mom and good friend, just like I thought.
and i am too..LOL
Now, explain. Are you saying U of T finally sent an acceptance? Or was there 5 and not 4? Splain, please.
You are in a good mood and I am very happy about that. The bra info tickled me. Just had a conversation with my husband a few days ago. Life has changed. He and I and the dogs are the only ones here for the most part. I have taken to shedding the torture device anytime, anywhere. My husband remarked he finds it all over the place. It is true. I finally broke myself when I found it dangling on the dining room chair. But there is a corner of this desk that seems to be assigned bra storage. My husband did remark that it feels so soft, and usually I have it folded up so that he forgets and picks it up and it always shocks him. He forgets and thinks it is a napkin or something. We have no shame. I can't believe we're talking about bras at the computer on the internet.
or maybe he is just slow as sh&t again
I always take them off as soon as I get home... most often that means they (and my socks) are lying somewhere around the computer .... or on a chair... or couch ... or wherever
on Monday's I usually take them off before I even get out of the parking lot at school ....so that one ends up in my purse
Thanks for posting to All Photo Essays Here.
me too, I did not show the file cabinet with the stuff on top of it and the papers on the floor in fron of it. I do the stack method.
