The first thing Antonio said, after they woke up in his barren apartment on Sunset Boulevard was, "Let's go find the stinking copper who plugged my brother."
Carol opened her eyes. "Today?"
"Now."
"What about our honeymoon?"
Antonio smiled like a con. "I'll be making whoopee when I get back. For my brother. For me. For the world."
"What? I'd rather it just be for you."
They dressed and got in his car. Carol asked, "Now how much does this car cost? It's so fine."
"I won it in Chicago. A gambling win. Pretty sweet, huh."
"Was it won fair and square?"
"You bet." He winked at her. "And then he found himself at the bottom of the river."
"You serious?" Carol gasped. "You actually killed somebody for their car? That's rude!"
"Just kidding. Gosh you're a hayseed this morning."
"I'm nervous." Carol admitted. "What if the copper doesn't like being shot at? What if he shoots you first?"
Antonio pulled out a pistol. "This baby is the finest thing made. She won't fail me."
"What if the copper ain't out on the street today?"
Antonio said, "Then I'll have my revenge tomorrow. Or the day after that. We'll drive around where you last saw him until you see him again. All you have to do, dollface, is point that pretty little ring finger at him."

They drove off. So that Antonio would be free to shoot while they were on the move, Carol offered to drive. She drove all over the place.
"Not that side of the road!"
Carol said, "But there's nobody else on it and I want to turn up there."
"There will be and go slower on the turns or you'll miss them!"
"But your car goes so fast! Weeeee!"
"Stop the car!"
Carol asked, "Right here?"
"No! Not in that lane! Stop it over there where it belongs!" She stopped the car very abruptly. He yelled, "Not here! I thought you said you could drive a car."
"Well, sure. Away I went." She hit the gas and put them in a yard. "Ooops."
Antonio yelled, "Don't you know where a car goes? Don't you know what lane to ever drive in! Or what a stop sign is!"
"Well, I did learn to drive growing up on my neighbor's tractor. There are no confusing lanes in a field."
Antonio said, "So you don't know how to drive!"
Carol reminisced, "I knew that if I could drive that tractor, that was so hard to steer and shift, with a clutch like the devil, then I could drive anything. This car drives like a breeze."
