A Very Special Picture

Last night when we got to the hospice to visit Leslie she was sitting up looking at photos.

The day before she was not responding and slept all day. So we have to take it a day at a time now.

She asked if we would take a picture with her.

We did and this is the photo. This is Dave's little sister. She took photos just like this with everyone sitting on her bed and she has them taped up so she always sees them. Today when we took her the printed photo she was asleep and didn't get a chance to see it yet.

I will always cherish this one.

This is a wonderful photo. She has got to be so very exhausted, I hope she finds peace soon. So sorry. I just found out my grandpa has liver cancer. He is 90 years old though, and he has lived a very full life. Leslie is so young, it is so unfair...

Photos like this one are priceless. My son-in-law's mother just passed away today and I know our grandchildren, whom I am taking care of for a couple days will miss her dearly. They are 9 and 7 and were very close to them and to me. She was in her late 50's.
