Today I got to go to one of my favorite thrift stores. They have a sale on Saturdays where anything under $1 is 50% off and anything over $1.00 is 30% off. Today I went because I need school clothes for my oldest two boys. They are growing out of their clothes and desperately needed some new ones.
My total was a little over 12 dollars and I got:
10 books (mostly kids)
1 pad of Handwriting Paper so the kids can work on neater handwriting (new for .15 cents)
3 Videos (School House Rock Science Rock, Spongebob and Power Rangers)
5 pair of School pants
8 School shirts
1 pair of jeans for my youngest son
1 night shirt for my oldest son
1 Power Rangers shirt probably for my youngest son but might possibly fit my middle son
1 black shirt that my oldest son picked out for himself
1 shirt for my youngest son with a crab on it that says "Sometimes crabby, but always cute"
1 bunny wood decoration that has a small basket at the back that I set on the front porch as an Easter decoration.
1 Matchbox Car toy that has a Mummy. It lights up and talks and you play with your cars through it.
I was pleased that the total was only 12 something.

When I was leaving, I ran into my grandparents so I went inside to visit with them for a bit and I saw this nightlight Globe. I talked my Grandma into getting it. It was 30% off of 6.96. I am redoing my kids room in a planet theme as soon as we get some other stuff taken care of here. I already have paint and am trying to cheaply collect more planet stuff. This is not included in my total of 12 something.

I used to love thrifting in Virginia but here in Alabama they have idiots doing the pricing and most things are more expensive than they are firsthand in the regular stores. It is hardly worth the effort but every once in a while there is something to grab.
Lavonne, I have a bunch of golden books to list on eBay as soon as I get my camera back from the hospital. if you are interested in knowing what I have, send me a message.
