Determined to accompany life
Offered her pure ideals
My thirst enforced me
To search for true idols
Learned to love
Grew wise
Hungered to win
But it was a disguise
Principles and morals
Appear dead and cold
My ideology , fake!
The world doesn't realize!
Walked honestly throughout life
Reciting mantras of truth
Mudslingers showered blemishes on me
With wide open mouths
Blemishes can be wiped off
Patches can be covered
But values once buried,
Do not come back
(My Papa's Birthday is on 11th March and I am dedicating this poem to him. As his eldest daughter I know him well. He is a man of ideals who followed Gandhian principles. There are few who follow their principles through out life. He is the one I admire for his simplicity and honesty.I know now he is alone but my younger sister and brother are taking care of him.He gave us every thing to make our lives 'the best'. The best education, best food, best ambeince, best books and best clothes and the best father-daughter relationship.Fathers don't expressed everything like Moms but now my Papa is everything to me...my Mom also.I love you so much Dear Papa...Always there for you..............................)

I have just such a father (not the Ghandi part--LOL!) but when it comes to having a code of morals and ethics, and strength, and love, well, they could be brothers...so I understand your pride in him. It sounds like me and my dad--huge amounts of respect mixed in with all those tons of love.
No wonder you turned out so very, very cool. My hat is tipped to him who raised you...and to you for being smart enough to appreciate such character.
I have listed your father (with all due respect) in my "friends who are poets" listing.
I hope he writes again, soon.
Blessings of peace to you both; indeed, to your whole family.

I hope, Bhawana, that you have shared this poem and gift of love to your father with him. I am sure that it will touch him as it has touched us.
This is so touching! It really brings tears to my eyes, but blessings to my heart. You are a prize example of the values for which he stood, and I'm sure your siblings are also.
I wish your father a very enjoyable birthday; he is truly blessed to have you, your sister and brother as his children. I send you, too, love and hugs for your mother.
Happy Birthday to your dear papa! Today is my husband's 57th birthday! So it must be a good week for being born. You have been so blessed...and as a result your children will also be blessed.

Take care my dear friend..........you are amazing~~~
You've got some great lines in this. For example:
Mudslingers showered blemishes on me
With wide open mouths
Happy Birthday Uncle...may you keep inspiring us and blessing us by exmaple as you have always done.
"Blemishes can be wiped off
Patches can be covered"
This is so true - thank you for reminding me!
You have honoured me with the right to call you my friend. I'll send you a mail on the 11 th.
As one goes through life it does not really matter what you've gained in material things and how many important friends that you have. What matters most is how much love you've left along your path.
We can all see the love that you've made glow inside your daughter and in her whole family. What greater deed could the Creator expect of you?
Your tribute touched a chord in my soul, Bhawana. Go well. Feel the warmth of those that love you.
He is a very special man ... Happy Birthday to him soon...
you are such a loving daughter... Bless your whole family...
