Hey, I think it's been a while and something sure does smell good. Stir the beans and open the oven. Yep, looking right plumb tasty. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top of the ribs, turn the oven to broil, and give it about 5 minutes. After that, you're all done. Serve the ribs and beans on a plate with a couple of small triangle wedges of watermelon and enjoy!
I actually have a recipe for ribs using watermelon. Haven't tried it yet.
Is that better now that I've done a challenge? ;)
Hurry up, summer!
extras: cantaloupe, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar
Marinate ribs for two days in a mixture of minced ginger, pureed melons, hoisin, vinegar, oil and salt and pepper. Wrap tightly in several layers of foil and bake on low heat for several hours, til falling apart. Make a basting and dipping sauce with same ingredients as marinade. Open rib packet and brush with basting sauce and sprinkle ribs generously with sesame seeds. Continue baking til seeds are golden.
Toss limas with a little vinegar, ginger and salt and pepper. Chill.
Ball melons and toss with grated ginger, a little vinegar and sesame seeds.
Serve rib sections with pickled limas and have the melon salad as dessert.
I would cover the ribs with bbq sauce, and slow bake them in the oven. Mix watermelo chunks with bananas. Mix a little maple syrup with freshly grated ginger and pour over fruit, sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds. Uh...feed the lima beans to hubby.
I don't eat lima beans either.
I do like lima beans though, so I would cook 'em and eat 'em plain with the ribs...
I got a packet of seeds to try and grow this year.....LOL....its like this weird texture thing...like eating a grape....ROFL
marinade beef ribs in happo, orange sauce and seasonings and some grated fresh ginger...bake in a low oven for a long time and baste with marinade till falling of the bone done
toast sesame seeds
