Be forewarned: the mis-posted items coming to your groups may not be the mis-click of the posting party but rather the crossed-programming behind gather's "Guthrie" installation.
I posted my prayer chain to the usual groups this morning, then posted another article... to most of the "post-anything" groups etc.
Finally, I posted some pics... and then went to my groups to approve waiting content before I log off and go to bed. Lo and behold I found some of my photos in groups I did NOT post them to. Yes, I had posted SOMETHING to those groups earlier today: but not these photos.
I am assuming the problem is not exclusive to me, so if you're getting your panties in a bunch tonight because everyone seems to have lost their minds and started posting to any group they darn well please - hold off on your tirade. It might be gather's fault.

I hope this is all straightened out soon.
Thanks for letting the group owners know whats going on.
Thanks, Lydia.
Is there a possibility that Kevin's "Member-to-Member HelpCenter™" will be combined with this "Daily Help Article brought to you by Gather's Member Support team"???
I've received a few emails from members asking me what is going on and I'm not sure myself. I'm not asking this for any reason other than this is confusing to members and it would be nice if there was a central location for everything helpful in nature.
Thanks for your assistance and I hope this is figured out soon.
Where do we go? Who do we ask? What do we do? How does this work? Why? How? When? Huh?
Hopefully they'll get through all the glitches and they'll combine these 2 Help Forums so there will be a central location for assistance. Now if they add a link to the help.gather.com group in an email sent out to new members at sign-up, we'll be set!
Blessings to you and yours...

Thanks for the kind words, everybody. The guides are still well-connected, and I'm sure the support staff is working hard to iron out all the wrinkles. Personally I think they're trying very hard to keep gather different and unique, as well as attempting to oblige our requests for changes. I'm inclined to be patient and take things with a grain of salt while they work the bugs out.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: I love gather!
