THIS is ridiculous!

I found this in my inbox this morning. An email from Cesar about a diamond collar for dogs.

Ok, first of all I pamper my pooches quite a bit but this is overkill! 1.8 million is a lot of money that could be spent on other things. Homeless pets are killed in shelters everyday, feral colonies of cats make their homes in every city, not to mention other causes pet and un-pet related that this money could go for.

If someone is willing to buy one of those diamond dog collars, I think one of their friends needs to slap them in the face and tell them that the money spent on that can be used for much better things.. like.. charities!

I saw that e-mail too and thought it was ridiculous to spend that on a dog collar even if a person had that much money. First of all, the dog wouldn't care and appreciate it, the dog could lose it, it could be stolen, and exactly WHERE would a dog go wearing such an expensive collar. There are so many more important things that money could be spent on. The fancy dog dresses were a bit much too.

Forget dogs dying in the street, do you know how many CHILDREN starve to death every day? Or die from cureable diseases? Our world's BIGGEST problem is greed. Plain, simple, old-fashioned greed.

Some people have so much money, it has no value. They are so materialistic and love to show off for attention. They have no consept of how money could be used for better things.

I agree with M & M. Some people have WAY too much money. Something is wrong with our society and that's expressed with the absurdity of such an offer.

Can you imagine what it would cost me--with my two rescue DANES--to keep up with the Jones? LOL! The world is a crazy place. I'm with feeding the children. But, it's THEIR money, and they can spend it however they want to--for good, or ill.
