I don't know why people find this surprising. Those weird robes with Masonic insignia are a bit troubling though. I'm not sure that they make the kind of fashion statement that even a complete idiot like GWB would feel comfortable making.

E.M. I was going to say I thought my Hungarian grandmother had something like what Pelosi is wearing there. Older women used to wear those, especially in rural areas, until about the 70's, maybe early 80's there--I remember them from when I was a little kid.
