2008 Gallery Nights Kicks Off with "Spring Fling"
on The Streets of Downtown Pensacola

Pensacola, FL --The Arts Council of Northwest Florida will present "Spring Fling," the first of five 2008 Gallery Nights on March 7, 2008 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the streets of downtown Pensacola. This free community event celebrates the diversity and joy of Pensacola's lively arts scene and nightlife. Explore galleries, cultural organizations, businesses and boutiques for an evening of exciting art, music, performances, food, and shopping (of course!) by local and international artists. "Spring Fling" will be produced by the Arts Council of Northwest Florida and will be sponsored by the Downtown Improvement Board, Downtown Arts District Association (DADA), Downtown Crowd, COX Media, and Sandy Sansing BMW.

One of Pensacola's most highly anticipated and successful annual event series, Gallery Nights began in 1992 to showcase local artists while encouraging patronage of downtown businesses and nightlife. It has now grown to include over 40 participants hosting live cultural or artistic events drawing more than 5,000 patrons to the heart of historic Pensacola.

Leave your car in one of the free parking spaces at the Jefferson or Baylen Street garages or the Baylen Street parking lot and stroll through downtown Pensacola or catch a Gallery Night Trolley. Three trolleys will be circulating with stops directly in front of or very close to each participant, so listen for the ding-ding of the trolley and hop on. Brighten your evening, enlighten your mind and illuminate your heart at 2008 Gallery Nights, "Spring Fling".

The Fine Art of C.C. Miranda will be on display at The Loft, located on 118 E. Wright Street.  New Artwork as well as old favorite will be on display.  Join us for an evening of great art, good food and beverages and lots of fun.   Trolly will stop directly in front of The Loft.
