I have observed that one of the functions that is most bound to glitch out after an upgrade is the publishing functioning, so I decided that rather than pour my heart and mind into the writing of an article only to find out the hard way that it won't publish, I'm posting a test article. If this publishes, I will feel more at ease about publishing something more important to me. I noticed that the same page keeps coming up when I click on "recent articles", the last one having been posted around 3 am this morning. But from "articles for me", I know that more recent articles have been published. I'm hoping this is not an indication that there are difficulties in publishing. Well, I'll know in a few minutes. Here goes...

The new process takes longer though, and now that the ability to subscribe to groups has been eliminated I have to join more groups to be notified of group activity. :-)
Have you noticed any changes in article formatting?
Interestingly enough, when I clicked "publish", my article showed up really fast. Maybe because it's a short one. (?)
